Yale Westchester Alumni Association Outing to Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's Macbeth

Our neighbors at the Yale Westchester Alumni Association (YWWA) have extended us an invitation to their summer Shakespeare event at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival on Sunday, August 14th.

There is an optional pre-play reception (3:30 pm) with Yale's renowned Shakespeare expert Murray Biggs, a picnic on the grounds of the Boscobel Estate (6:00 pm) overlooking the Hudson River, and an innovative production of Macbeth (7:30pm) featuring Maria Christina Oliveras (Yale Class of 2001 and Adjunct Theater Studies Professor) in the title role.  She will meet with the group either before or after the performance.

Click the link below for further details or to purchase tickets, which are $49, plus $35 for the lecture by Professor Biggs beforehand.  There is also a link to the New York Times review, the star's web site, the web site for HVSF, a New York Times article about the Festival, and a YouTube video of the cast.  If you have questions, please contact YWAA: Rich Fabbro at rmfab@aol.com or Dan Leonard at danfrog11@gmail.com.
